I began my career as a yoga instructor in a small, friendly yoga studio where we welcomed any student wishing to share our love of this ancient wellness system.  Since then I have been fortunate to teach in many different settings and venues, but they all have limited access to only their members, residents, or employees.

So I am changing my schedule slightly to try a new venue, Isles Fitness in Punta Gorda Isles, open to anyone.  I am starting with one class, TRX/Yoga, and I hope to add more classes there as demand increases, including a full-hour yoga class and a full-hour TRX.  These are the practices that I feel have contributed the most to improving my personal wellness and fitness levels, and I am honored to be able to help others achieve improvements in their own quality of life.

  YMCA Classes January 8, 2016

I feel so very fortunate to be able to share my love of yoga with so many appreciative students.  It is truly a privilege to teach my Yoga with Props and Meditation classes on Mondays at the beautiful Bayfront YMCA Center in Punta Gorda where we are treated to the lovely view of the bay, the sailboats, the bird serenades and the occasional passing dolphin.

On Tuesdays I teach a TRX/Yoga class at the Franz Ross YMCA in Port Charlotte, followed by a full-hour Yoga with Props class.  TRX is body-weight strengthening exercise using straps, and is very compatible with yoga.  In this small-group class we do a half-hour TRX session to build strength and stamina, followed by a half-hour yoga session to stretch and lengthen the muscles worked.

On Thursdays I teach a full-hour TRX class at the Franz Ross YMCA, followed by a full-hour Yoga with Props class at the Bayfront YMCA Center in Punta Gorda.  This is a sublime combination, which led me to create the Tuesday TRX/Yoga class.  The description really does not do it justice; it needs to be experienced.

My Yoga with Props classes are open to all YMCA members, just arrive a few minutes early to set up.  There is a charge for the TRX/Yoga and TRX classes, please check with the welcome desk at Franz Ross for current fees and to reserve a spot as space is limited.  I regret that I do not currently have a venue where I could offer private or small-group yoga or TRX classes to non-YMCA members, but I look forward to being able to do so in the not-too-distant future.
